Suneeta Motala as Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Stewards Investment Capital is pleased to announce the appointment of Suneeta Motala as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, reinforcing the Group’s leadership structure as it enters a new phase of global expansion and strategic growth. This appointment highlights Stewards’ ambition to accelerate its development and consolidate its position as a leader in investment advisory and management.
Since joining Stewards Investment Capital, Suneeta has played a key role in shaping the Group’s strategic branding and growth strategy. Her leadership has significantly enhanced the organisation’s brand presence across borders, strengthened its market positioning, and contributed to several landmark projects and the launch of key initiatives across the business.

In her new capacity as Deputy CEO, Suneeta will spearhead the Group’s global business development and sales strategy. Her mandate will include deepening relationships with clients and industry partners, driving commercial growth, shaping product development and go-to-market strategies and identifying new opportunities across markets to deliver greater value to clients and investors. She will also continue to offer high-level strategic guidance on the brand, ensuring that our presence remains aligned with its international growth ambitions.

About Suneeta Motala
Suneeta is a highly accomplished executive with over 30 years of experience in the financial sector. She brings deep expertise in strategic marketing, communications, business development, customer experience and building high-performing teams across both local and international stages.
Her career began at HSBC in 1994, where she spearheaded various roles including sales, marketing, credit risk management, and branch operations. In July 2007, Suneeta embarked on a transformative journey with AfrAsia Bank, playing an instrumental role in establishing its unique identity as a key player in the financial services industry through unified branding, marketing, and communications strategies.
Suneeta currently serves as Deputy CEO of Stewards Investment Capital, overseeing the global brand strategy, driving commercial growth and shaping go-to-market strategies across Mauritius, South Africa, and USA.She holds an MSC in Marketing, a certification from International Financial Advisers, a General Management certification from ESSEC Business School, and a Pre-Associateship from the Chartered Institute of Bankers.
Suneeta is a member of the Forbes Communications Council, where she regularly contributes her thought leadership insights alongside other experts on Forbes. She additionally holds a Board Directorship with the South African Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Chaine des Rôtisseurs Committee in Mauritius.
