Stewards’ Iconic Birds of the World
Stewards Investment Capital has teamed up with wealth intelligence firm New World Wealth to review the conservation status of the world's most iconic birds.
Stewards Investment Capital has a strong presence in Mauritius, which is home to several beautiful bird species that are unique to the island including the Mauritius Fody, the Mascarene Paradise Flycatcher and the iconic Mauritius Kestrel, which was recently brought back from the brink of extinction. The Dodo was also found on the island before it went extinct in the 1600s.
In line with its CSR commitment, Stewards Investment Capital collaborated with New World Wealth to sponsor a falcon enclosure at the Dullstroom Bird of Prey and Rehabilitation Centre in South Africa. This respected non-profit organization rescues and rehabilitates injured birds of prey in South Africa. For Stewards, the peregrine falcon, symbolizing agility, focus and achieving real freedom is the firm’s brand icon. More than a symbol, the falcon is the crest that comes from the origins of the Stewards family. It is a heritage and legacy that embodies the qualities of leadership, resilience and strategic foresight that have been passed down through generations over centuries.

The Big 10:
We have a special interest in helping to raise awareness about the World’s Big 10 Eagles. As the world’s top apex predators of the sky, these 10 eagles are an excellent barometer for the health of an ecosystem and for the planet at large. Of concern, five of them are currently under threat of extinction (endangered, vulnerable or near threatened) according to the IUCN Red List.
Philippine Eagle – critically endangered
Martial Eagle – endangered
Harpy Eagle – vulnerable
Steller's Sea Eagle – vulnerable
Crowned Eagle – near threatened
Golden Eagle – least concern
Wedge Tailed Eagle – least concern
Verreaux's Eagle – least concern
Bald Eagle – least concern
White Tailed Eagle – least concern
